Lis Wiehl is an American lawyer and writer who used to be a Fox News analyst.
She is an adjunct professor of law at New York Law School, and formerly was an associate professor at the University of Washington Law School. She's provided legal commentaries for National Public Radio and Bill O'Reilly's Radio Factor. She appeared weekly on The O'Reilly Factor, Your World with Neil Cavuto, The Kelly File with Megyn Kelly Lou Dobbs Tonight the Imus morning shows as well as hosts The Legal Lis radio show. Wiehl is a native of Yakima, and raised at Yakima within Washington State, graduated in Yakima from West Valley High School. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from Barnard College, followed by a master's degree in literature from the University of Queensland, in 1985.
Wiehl was a prosecutor for the US Attorney's Office. She worked as a legal reporter on NPR's All Things Considered. She served as Chief Investigator's Counsel for the Democrats at the House Judiciary Committee in Clinton's impeachment. Between 1995 and 2001, she was a tenured law professor in the University of Washington School of Law in Seattle and was in charge of the Trial Advocacy Program. Wiehl worked as an Fox News Legal Analyst from 2001 until 2017.
